The Vagina Monologues

This award-winning play is based on V-Day Founder/playwright Eve Ensler's interviews with more than 200 women. With humor and grace the piece celebrates women's sexuality and strength. Through this play and the liberation of this one word, countless women throughout the world have taken control of their bodies and their lives. For more than twelve years, The Vagina Monologues has given voice to experiences and feelings not previously exposed in public.

The Vancouver Island North Women's Resource Society has operated the Women's Centre since 1983. It is a non-profit, registered Canadian charity that provides drop-in supportive counselling, programs for the relief of poverty, and referrals to antiviolence services. We run the Campbell River Senior Peer Counseling program for men and women 55+ and the Advocacy Services Centre, providing legal advocacy and outreach to address homelessness.
