DESCRIPTION:The Tidemark Theatre and On The Mark Theatre  are excited to present Weirder Things Summer Theatre Camp this August 17th through 28th! \nSet in the 1980’s\, a group or youth attending a normal school in the very normal town of Tediousville are drawn into an unbelievable series weird events. At first\, they come across a purple goo covering their favourite swimming spot in the woods. When investigating this weird occurrence one of them is pulled in. When the youth tell their story no one believes them\, until Weirder Things start to happen in the small town. \nJoin us on this weird adventure as the youth of Tediousville search for their missing friend and help their small town defeat a plethora of weirder things they encounter. In this two week camp at the Tidemark Theatre youth will explore theatre skills\, character development as they help create this exciting adventure. They also will discover what goes on behind the scenes working along side mentors in the areas of lighting\, sound\, props costuming and stage management. All theatre camp participants will take part in a public final performance. \nWhat to expect at the camp \nThis year’s theatrical experience will be entirely created by the youth. They will not only be acting but also have the opportunity to work with mentors in Lighting\, Sound\, Set/Props and Stage Management. \nParticipants will have the opportunity to learn key acting techniques such as character development\, vocal projection\, improvisation and memorization. \nWeirder Things Summer Theatre Camp runs Monday through Friday\, August 17th through 28th\, from 9 am to 3 pm each day. SUMMARY:Weirder Things Summer Theatre Camp
DESCRIPTION:The Tidemark Theatre and On The Mark Theatre  are excited to present Weirder Things Summer Theatre Camp this August 17th through 28th! \nSet in the 1980’s\, a group or youth attending a normal school in the very normal town of Tediousville are drawn into an unbelievable series weird events. At first\, they come across a purple goo covering their favourite swimming spot in the woods. When investigating this weird occurrence one of them is pulled in. When the youth tell their story no one believes them\, until Weirder Things start to happen in the small town. \nJoin us on this weird adventure as the youth of Tediousville search for their missing friend and help their small town defeat a plethora of weirder things they encounter. In this two week camp at the Tidemark Theatre youth will explore theatre skills\, character development as they help create this exciting adventure. They also will discover what goes on behind the scenes working along side mentors in the areas of lighting\, sound\, props costuming and stage management. All theatre camp participants will take part in a public final performance. \nWhat to expect at the camp \nThis year’s theatrical experience will be entirely created by the youth. They will not only be acting but also have the opportunity to work with mentors in Lighting\, Sound\, Set/Props and Stage Management. \nParticipants will have the opportunity to learn key acting techniques such as character development\, vocal projection\, improvisation and memorization. \nWeirder Things Summer Theatre Camp runs Monday through Friday\, August 17th through 28th\, from 9 am to 3 pm each day. The camp is open to students between the ages of 8-14. \nDue to current public health restrictions we will have limited on-site and virtual spots for youth available:\nOn-site camp registration: $225 (+applicable taxes & fees)\nVirtual camp registration: $125 (+applicable taxes & fees) \nThis theatre camp is planned in accordance with current Provincial COVID-19 guidelines.
