SUMMARY:Roller Derby: The Committed vs. Pow! Town
DESCRIPTION:Salt Spring Island Roller Derby would like to thank you in advance for supporting your derby local athletes. We have been training hard for this event look forward to seeing our neighbors and guests in the bleachers. \nIf there’s one thing all derby skaters along the west coast of Canada can agree upon – it’s that SSI has THE BEST crowd. \nThe doors to the G.I.S.S. gymnasium will open to the public at 5pm. General seating means first come first serve. The first game between SSI’s “The Committed” and Powell River’s “Pow! Town Brawl Stars” will begin at 6pm. \nA game consists of two 30 minute periods. The cafeteria will be open to the public during the half times – please enjoy your food responsibly. All beverages MUST have a screw top lid. \nThe second game features the Vancouver Island All Stars which consists of top skaters from all over Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. VIAS excitingly awaits a competitive challenge against Seattle’s Rat City Roller Girls’ “Grave Danger”. \nT-Shirts and other merchandise as well as tickets to the after party (19yrs+ only) at Mahon Hall will be for sale during the game. \nAdmission: $15 (+applicable taxes and fees)
