DESCRIPTION:FOREST IMPRESSIONS… Capturing the landscape in an animated and personal way\, Artist Helen Utsal‘s colorful paintings describe the landscape she loves. Wild tangled mossy forests\, big skies and the oceans raw energy jump out in a unique expression of the natural world. \nWith a gutsy impressionist spirit\, Helen strives to bring the light\, energy and magic of nature to the canvas. Helen paints on canvas or panels with acrylics\, oils\, pigments and cold wax medium. \nHelen’s work has been exhibited in Canada and the United States and her paintings are part of private collections in Scotland\, Germany\, the U.S. and the U.K. Currently\, Helen resides and works in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island\, British Columbia\, Canada. \nHelen’s work will be on display in the Tidemark Art Gallery from January 22 – March 28.
