There is no better way to close the 2026/27 Quadra Concerts season than with one of Canada’s most exhilarating live ensembles.

Led by acclaimed singer, guitarist, and songwriter Tom Landa, JUNO Award-winning Locarno brings together some of the country’s finest musicians to create an electrifying celebration of Latin and Pan-American musical traditions. Their sound draws from Mexican folk music, Cuban son, cumbia, salsa, and contemporary roots styles, blending them into a vibrant, high-energy experience that is as musically sophisticated as it is joyfully unrestrained.

For nearly two decades, Locarno has been a festival favourite and a fixture on concert stages across Canada, earning a reputation for world-class musicianship delivered with infectious warmth, generosity, and spirit. Every performance is built on extraordinary technical skill, but what defines the band is its ability to turn that virtuosity into something deeply communal—music that brings people together.
