And while his songs have found their way onto some pretty big stages, there’s nothing quite like hearing them from the songwriter himself.

With his clever observations, dry humour and knack for saying the things most people are thinking but rarely say out loud, Donovan Woods has built a career making music that’s as relatable as it is memorable. His songs move effortlessly between folk, country and pop, tackling everything from complicated relationships to life’s unexpected turns.

His latest album, Things Were Never Good If They’re Not Good Now, earned a spot on the Polaris Music Prize longlist, while his 2026 EP, Squander Your Gifts, offers five new songs inspired by the life and loss of his close friend and songwriting partner, Abe Stoklasa.

On February 9, 2027, Donovan Woods brings his music to the Tidemark Theatre for a night of great songs, clever storytelling and plenty of personality.
