North Island filmmakers are invited to submit short films for a Local Showcase evening as part of the CRFF's Fall 2023 Season to be presented at the Tidemark Theatre on November 7. This non-competitive screening is meant to highlight local talent, whether you are a new, emerging or experienced filmmaker; providing local filmmakers an opportunity to connect with local audiences.

SUBMISSION DETAILS

Short films should be:

• approximately 20 minutes or less in length
• of any genre
• filmed by crew based in North Island or Discovery Islands
• any level of experience is welcome

Submissions should include:

• Weblink to short film (final version, Youtube/Vimeo, with password for viewing if needed)
• Brief description of film
• Brief bio of filmmaker, cast & crew
• Brief overview of the inspiration behind the film
• General overview of filming location(s)
• Link to trailer (if available, not required)

Some of the proceeds of the Campbell River Festival of Film will go to a bursary for Campbell River high school students interested in going into filmmaking studies.
