Join us for an unforgettable evening with acclaimed Canadian poet and spoken-word artist Shane Koyczan on March 2, 2024, at 7:30 PM at the Tidemark Theatre. Known for his powerful narratives and ability to weave personal experiences with themes of social justice, mental health, and love, Koyczan has captured the hearts of audiences around the world.

From his standout performance at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics to his critically acclaimed works like “To This Day,” which has garnered over 24 million views, Shane’s voice resonates deeply with listeners. He has collaborated with luminaries such as David Suzuki and Ani DiFranco, and his art has elevated the spoken word genre from café corners to grand stages.

Shane’s journey as an independent artist includes launching his own publishing house, Stickboy Press, and creating award-winning documentaries, such as “Shut Up And Say Something,” which offers an intimate look at his personal struggles with family trauma and won Most Popular Documentary at the Vancouver International Film Festival.

With recent works including “The Basement In My Attic” and “Inconvenient Skin,” Koyczan continues to tackle challenging topics with humor and vulnerability. His performances are not just a showcase of poetry; they are heartfelt narratives that invite audiences to reflect on their own lives and experiences.
