The Nutcracker – Season 11

A New Decade of Holiday Magic!

A beloved holiday tradition returns to the Tidemark Theatre for its 11th spectacular season! As we step into a new decade of The Nutcracker, get ready for new surprises, dazzling performances, and a little extra holiday magic!

Join us as Clara’s enchanting Christmas Eve adventure unfolds, taking audiences on a magical journey through dancing snowflakes, whimsical characters, and the sparkling Land of Sweets.

This year’s production features an exciting lineup of professional guest performers, including Nathaniel Craig as the larger-than-life Mother Ginger, Marsha Kwan as the exquisite Sugar Plum Fairy, Giovanni Giordanno as the Cavalier Prince, Kristin Webb as the mysterious Drosselmeyer, and Jessica McKeown as Grandmother.

Bringing this magical production to life is our talented touring cast of dancers from Campbell River, Port Alberni, and Salt Spring Island, who have been rehearsing and creating together since August under the artistic direction of Jen Soo, Marsha Kwan, and Giovanni Giordanno.

Joining the touring cast on the Tidemark stage are the youngest dancers from Studio North Dance Academy, adding an extra dose of charm, excitement, and holiday spirit to this treasured production.

With beautiful dancing, beloved music, colourful characters, and plenty of surprises in store, Season 11 promises to bring fresh magic to the holiday tradition audiences have come to know and love.

Whether it’s your family’s first Nutcracker or your eleventh, we can’t wait to share the magic with you!
