RENTALS
Theatre bookings for live events, live stream events, and video production are arranged on a first-come, first-served basis. Tentative or informational bookings may be taken but are not to be considered official bookings.
Booking dates will be secured with the payment of a non-refundable booking deposit (which is applied to the rent) and a signed rental contract. The booking deposit is $300 per performance ($150 per performance for local for profit producers/presenters, and $100 for not-for-profit presenters), and $150 per rehearsal ($75 per performance for local for profit producers/presenters, and $50 for not-for-profit presenters). For rentals $200 and under, full payment is required as the deposit.
Requests for extra time, equipment and/or personnel may be arranged after the contract has been signed. These requests will be recorded in writing and this ancillary agreement will be attached to the contract. If the event has tickets for sale, these added expenses are usually handled as charge-backs against ticket sales.
Tidemark Theatre Advance Booking Policy:

Rental Events at the Tidemark TheatreÂ
The Tidemark Theatre Society operates as a publicly accessible cultural facility and provides venue rental access to a wide range of presenters and performances.Â
It is important to distinguish between Tidemark-presented programming, which we curate, fund, and promote, and rental events, which are presented by external promoters under a rental agreement. For rental events, the renter is responsible for the content presented. The presence of an event in our venue does not constitute endorsement of the performer’s views by the Tidemark Theatre Society.Â
As a public facility operating within a City-owned building, the Theatre administers rentals in a content-neutral manner. We do not evaluate or regulate lawful expression presented by renters. Restrictions apply only where content is unlawful or meets the legal threshold for hate speech or incitement to violence under applicable law.Â
We recognize that some performances may generate concern or strong reactions within the community. While we respect the right of individuals to express their views, the Theatre must also fulfill its legal and governance obligations in providing fair, non-discriminatory access to the facility.Â
The Tidemark Theatre Society remains deeply committed to our relationships with Indigenous, 2SLGBTQ+, and community partners, and to presenting programming that reflects those relationships through the work we directly curate and present.Â
