Wine & Blues Fest by the Sea

Day Break Rotary presents 6th annual Wine & Blues Fest by the Sea!

If you like discovering a good wine you are almost guaranteed to find just the wine that matches your palate at the sixth annual Day Break Rotary Wine & Blues Fest by the Sea! At the Campbell River Maritime Heritage Centre, the evening of Saturday, June 13th 2015 from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM.

Bigger and Better!

“We have over 11 winery representatives with wine from regions all over the world,” said Theresa Marson, one of the coordinators of the event. “The wine tasting is complemented by a special selection of cheeses, cold cuts, breads, fruit dishes, spreads etc. all generously provided by Thrifty’s Food and a variety of tasty treats provided by Super Mario’s Bar & Lounge, Rocky Mountain Chocolates, Natural Pastures Cheese,  and Grieg Seafood. In addition, the ticket price also includes attendance at wine pairing seminars, samplings of specialty wines, door prize and a silent auction and – of course! – free taxi service home within the Campbell River area after the event.

And not to be missed!

We have live entertainment with Tim Williams the 2014 International Blues Challenge Award Winner (in Memphis as best Solo Artist, A string of Maple Blues Award nominations, three JUNO award nominations, and roughly a dozen awards from Real Blues magazine attest to the high caliber of his work.  Tim was also honoured as Guitarist Of The Year for 2012 by the Calgary Blues Music Association. Tim’s blend of passionate, soulful vocals and awe-inspiring chops on a number of instruments including finger-style and slide guitar, mandolin and Hawaiian guitar (among others), along with his wry sense of humor and deep knowledge of blues and roots music, continue to win fans everywhere he plays.

This year’s wine representatives include: Mark Anthony Brands, Peller Estates, Martin & Peacock, Constellation Brands, Peter Mielzynski Agencies Ltd. (PMA Canada), Blue Moon Winery, Forbidden Fruit Winery, Authentic Wine & Spirits, and Phillipe Dandurand Wines. Each representative selects a cross section of wines for tasting, often featuring a new or unique selection to be sampled.
